God’s Work, Our Hands, Sat., Nov. 11

The God’s Work, Our Hands work morning took place Saturday, November 11, at the Lutheran Social Services of North Florida facility at 606 W. 4th Avenue. The event ran from 9:00 AM-Noon.
Thanks to the Grace members who came and worked to spruce up the landscape in front of the newly-renovated Better Angels Senior Housing facility.  This is what was accomplished:
  • Planted many Wax Myrtles
  • Pruned  shrubs and trimmed trees
  • Weeded a huge flower bed and then sprayed it thoroughly
  • Spread pine  straw in flower bed
Thanks to Barbara Ehlmann, the LSSNF Board Vice President, and Mark Heidorn for organizing the event and to the others who came to get dirty and help!

Manna on Meridian Next Distribution: Saturday, November 18

After a wonderful 9 months of service in 2017
Manna’s cupboards are mostly bare
and our bank account is precariously low.
As you may know, Manna on Meridian is funded almost entirely by contributions from its supporters among our four congregations. Throughout the years, our supporters have been-and remain-extraordinary. But it is time, again, for our support and love for our Father, each other, and those we serve to manifest in dollars, donated groceries/clothing, and continued volunteer time. Please do what you can.
We will need about $2,500 to complete our distribution in October, and an additional $7,500 to get us through January 2018. If you would like to donate right now, or set up a recurring donation, using Faith Presbyterian’s Online Giving option, follow this link: http://www.faithpcusa.org/resources/online-giving/.
If you prefer to contribute via check, make it payable to Grace Lutheran Church and put in check note that it is a contribution to Manna on Meridian. You may put it in the offering plate or give it to Kris-Tena Albers or Burt Von Hoff.
Thank you, and God bless.
Note:  If questions regarding donations, or for help signing up for the October 16 Distribution Day, please contact Kris-Tena Albers at 850-566-3635 or kris.albers@yahoo.com or contact Burt Von Hoff at 850-508-7793 or
